After spending many hours a day reading other peoples’ running and fitness blogs, I’ve decided to create my own; to connect with the running community, to get feedback, to stay motivated, and to hold myself accountable.
I have been OBSESSING over running and my upcoming marathon (my second – New York City, baby!) . I’ve been running since junior high track and cross country, but for some reason, the past couple of years have been different. I’m running for me now; I’ve had such a new feeling of “calm” and accomplishment…hence leading to my obsession with all things running.
It seems as though everyone who has a running blog is ridiculously fast. Let’s be honest here…I’m not super speedy. I just have endurance. For the longest time it didn’t bother me. I just wanted to finish. But lately I’ve been feeling that urge to PR, to run faster splits, to actually “be in the race”. My competitive drive is coming out and I’m ready to dominate!
So, in case someone (anyone!? hello?!) out there stumbles upon my “still under construction” blog, thats how it all started.
