Soooo, if you saw it/got an email, I totally didn’t mean to publish that last uncompleted post. Accidentally clicked the publish button a litttttle too early. #blogproblems
Rookie mistake. Sorry! So, where was I?
I can’t believe I almost forgot to tell you all…
I signed up for another race last week! It’s just a 4 miler, nothing too crazy. But I love running in Central Park, and it’s my first official 4 mile race, so, automatic PR? I welcome all of your strategy tips and tricks. Anyone else running this one?
As for yesterday…have you been dying to know how my interview went? I thought so.
I think it went pretty well! I like that they asked me a lot of “what would you do in this situation” questions rather than the not-exciting, straight -out “what are your strengths and weaknesses” questions. Plus, they were very nice and I could totally see myself working well with the supervisors. Naturally I spent all afternoon pondering what I said vs what I should have said, but they said they are looking to move pretty quickly so hopefully I will know for sure soon. Post-interview, I met a friend for lunch (who I haven’t seen FOR.EV.ER. and then finished the day at FlyWheel. Didn’t totally love the teacher/music but I was sweaty and happy and wearing my new neon yellow Under Armour tank so it all worked out. I was not prepared for the walk home, though. The city was a little chilly last night!
Overall, fabulous day.
I have a tempo run on schedule today but I’m still debating – I feel like my knees want some rest and am tempted to wait until tomorrow when my body feels stronger. Stay tuned! Funny training story, though: I was playing around with the Runner’s World SmartCoach app last night, just looking at the different options they suggest, and this came up:
Obviously it was a mistake. But stilllllll!
I’ll leave you with this photo my Dad sent me from his trip to Chicago. How pretty!
Are you running the NYRR Run as One race? (If not, you should sign up and join me!) Any funny interview stories? Do you love tulips too?!
