Blogging for Good

After seeing what some other blogging communities in different parts of the country are doing, I decided to put this out there today for my NYC community:

Do any local bloggers want to have a meetup in the city in the next few weeks? (Or, non-local bloggers who just happen to be in town?) I’d absolutely love to get everyone together and not only meet you all face-to-face, but talk about stuff we can’t talk about with anyone else…if you want them to actually listen, that is. My roommates, although supportive, don’t love discussing blogging as much as I do. SHOCKING.

What’s better than talking about running and health and fitness and delicious food (while eating delicious food, naturally) with a bunch of friends who “get it”…(plus strangers who are soon-to-be friends!)?

Obviously I’m starting an Excel document…if you don’t know me, I’m obsessed with Excel. It’s genuis. (NERD. ALERT.) Please leave a comment on this post or on Twitter (@kararuns729) and I’ll send out a mass email once I’ve compiled all the details. I think the first couple of times it would be fun to meet up at a restaurant/bar/park/coffee shop/pool/zoo or whatever your little heart desires, and chat it up. In the future, maybe we can host a big workout together, or do some type of volunteering. Do some good in the world, right?!

I will potentially make you all do this and take photos. Just saying.

Just throwing that out there. I’m going to attempt to work with some local studios/gyms to see if we can get anything done. SWEAT-SESH FOR BLOGGERS. YES.

Met these lovely ladies through blogging!

Blogging for Good NYC! (Even if the good is less “volunteer work” and more “laughing with friends”.)

Let me know!

  1. Wish I lived in NYC to join you all! Have fun with it. (I wish I liked Exel, btw, but I find it the most frustrating program on the planet!)

Speak up, don't be shy!
