Keep pushing through the mental part!! Honestly that is the hardest for me!! An ironman is a very mental day!! I went to a talk with a pro a few weeks before my first IM!! She talked about dark spots and actually putting them into your visualization plan!! Then you know how to deal with them when it happens in the race!!!
Don’t worry about being social right now!!! Get through your training and then you can celebrate your bday with them!! :)
One other note: that is actually good what u did on that run….that maybe what happens on the race! You have to be ready for it and have a plan!!!
You are doing great!! Few more weeks!! You will get there!!

Eventually the race will be done and you will get a break and have more time for other things… and it’s not like you’re a professional athlete, we still have jobs and families and obligations too… so don’t feel bad about not recaping all the time. I love the quote from your coach too… that is super true, and health isn’t all about fitness either- you gotta be mentally and emotionally healthy as well.
