I’m taking a break from my running woes and going back a few months…
…to WEDDING DAY!
We got our professional photos back and I have to share. (Here’s more of a written review of our beautiful day!)
It was hard to choose so you get to see a million photos! (I’m only semi-hoping we become a Pinterest sensation.) If that’s not your cup of tea, maybe just come back later. All photos are by the talented Jessica Hendrix Photography, the most wonderful, friendly, easy-to-work-with person!
Venue: Pellegrini Vineyards, Cutchogue, NY
My dress was by designer Augusta Jones. It’s actually a blush color, although it’s hard to tell in the photos!
I wore the letter “b” in rose gold because of it’s significance. It’s the first letter of Brendan’s name, my maiden name, and my new last name.
Something old, new, borrowed and blue: My dad’s blue shirt cut into a heart with a piece of my mom’s wedding veil sewn together into my dress, and a bracelet borrowed from Brendan’s mom and one from my mom.
A sunflower for Kansas! I know it doesn’t match the other pale flowers but I loved it so much anyway.
First look with my dad!
First look with Brendan. I was worried this was going to make my walk down the aisle less of a “moment”, but it didn’t. Walking down the aisle was still amazing, and this was an extra moment that was SO incredibly meaningful.
We met working for a football team, so we had to throw in some football-themed decor! Brendan secretly had these decals made :)
DESSERT
It was very lightly drizzling but I had my dad toss the umbrella right before walking down the aisle.
This photo of my father-in-law and mother-in-law during our ring warming touches my heart so much. I can just SEE him transferring love into our rings.
There’s something about this photo that gets me every time. I love this man.
…and I love these smart, lovable, beautiful friends of mine…
…and these loving, inspiring, hilarious guys.
The best man called me tough. The best compliment ever (in my eyes).
The speeches were SO GOOD.
Yelling at someone or singing with enthusiasm? (Answer: singing.)
A packed dance floor was our #1 request for the DJ. SUCCESS!
