Unique Yoga Playlists

I’m a huge fan of unique music while practicing yoga. It’s always such a pleasant surprise to find an instructor who plays recognizable, catchy songs instead of instrumental music. I do like that sometimes, but when I’m in a power vinyasa flow class (my favorite style of yoga), upbeat is more fun for me.

There are a few songs I love that aren’t really the best running songs, so I’ve been adding them to a yoga flow playlist for when I do yoga at home. Which is never. But I plan to do it now because my studio has cheap online yoga classes and they are so amazing. (And I swear I’m not just saying that because I work there!)

Sometimes I do yoga on mountains. But never in my own home.

The week, I finally got around to organizing my playlists! I arranged the songs so there’s a build up, high point, and cool down. (<—Totally learned this from working with yoga instructors. Apparently this is how they organize all their class playlists.) I try to follow a theme of similar music so nothing majorly stands out and takes your focus off your practice…but sometimes songs that are related in my head might not be to someone else. (For example, a set of songs that reminds me of a specific happy memory. Does that make any sense?) I also listen for inspiring words but sometimes it’s just the tune that makes me want to move.

ANYWHO. Both are embedded below and have been tested by me soooo…if you don’t like them…

JUSTTTT KIDDING. But I hope you do

“Yoga Flow” (47 minutes) is a little more pop-ish. My current favorite.

“Yoga Flow 2” (36 minutes) is more…eclectic?

What kind of music do you like for your yoga practice?
