I’m a FitFluential Ambassador!

I have fabulous news! I’ve been waiting anxiously to hear back, and a couple days ago I found out…

…I’ve been invited to be a FitFluential Ambassador!

What does that mean?

FitFluential was founded by Kelly Olexa in April 2011; it’s basically a huge network of like-minded, fitness-loving individuals, and brands looking to connect with this market.  According to the FitFluential website, an ambassador is considered to be “the highest rank in our rapidly growing community of fitness fanatics”. Ambassadors are “hand-picked based on their content, attitude, audience and potential.”

“Ultimately, the goal of FitFluential is to successfully connect brands in the fitness space with highly influential fitness enthusiasts that are an ideal match for that brand. An ideal match is one where the FitFluential member (and their audience) is a perfect representation of the brand’s target market.”

And of course, I will spread love for sweat. And running. Or yoga. Or tae-bo. Whatever you prefer!

Within the past year I’ve truly realized the potential of social media, and FitFluential strives to engage and interact with the fitness community through these platforms, which I can appreciate. Blogging and tweeting are more than yawn-worthy “this is how my day went” status updates…if you use them to their advantage, you can, excuse the cliche, change your life; all by simply connecting with like-minded people. My favorite thing? Following and discussing current trends in different industries. Seeing #proof of hard work by real people.  Not to mention, I’ve met quite a few lovely ladies who continue to motivate me day after day and have become real-life friends! My fellow ambassadors are so diverse and inspirational, and I learn from them every single day.

I feel extremely humbled and grateful for this opportunity to meet new people, show others the oh-so-fabulous lifestyle of wellness and fitness, and connect brands and individuals to hopefully make everyone’s lives a little brighter. Many thanks to FitFluential – I’ll make you proud, promise!

To make this week even better, I was invited to a special “VIP” workout with a very well-known celebrity trainer tomorrow- lucky me! Any guesses as to who it is? Stay tuned for a recap!

Let’s talk business: what do you think of the idea behind FitFluential? What are your favorite running/health/fitness brands? Anyone in particular who utilizes social media extremely well? What are your fitness plans this week?
